Settling In

We have been back home for a week now. We are still settling in as we are slowly getting back items that people took home to wash for us. My aunt from Maryland came to visit over the weekend and brought several items with her. We now have a couch, lamp, rugs, puzzles, and some kitchen items! The picture above is our living room where Mom takes naps and Dad reads his book or catches up on Amazing Race (on our new laptop, no TV yet). The patio furniture works well in there!

We saved our upper kitchen cabinets, and my uncle came down last week to install them. They are now filled with paper plates, cups, and bowls that we eat our meals from. Several families have been providing dinners for us as we are still waiting on our stove. We do have a fridge and microwave, so the kitchen is coming together. The floor has been ordered as well as the lower cabinets and counter tops. These will all go in the two weeks after Thanksgiving if all goes as planned. Mom also picked out a kitchen paint color, so my grandparents will be down soon to help with that!

Many of you have provided for our family in so many ways! Love, support, encouragement, gifts, time, prayers, meals, housing, money, gift cards, labor, and interest in our lives. THANK YOU for coming along side us during this time - we appreciate you! You are helping to make this our home again, and we continue to thank God for your part in the process!
