I have read my second book. I recently finished Amish Grace by Donald Kraybill, Steven Nolt, and David Weaver-Zercher. This is the story of the forgiveness that followed the shooting in the Amish schoolhouse in Nicklemines, PA. One of the authors, David Weaver-Zercher, from Messiah College, came to speak at Roberts last semester. The book gave several other examples of times when the Amish community has extended forgiveness. In this particular case, the shooter killed himself, and that day the Amish went to visit his family - showing grace during this tragedy. One part of the book included a verse from Romans 12:21, and I will leave you with it:
"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
